Reheat Certified™
A Family Chef dinner isn't finished when it leaves our kitchen.
It has to survive the journey to yours.
Before a dish makes the menu, we cook it, chill it and pack it exactly as we will for you. Then we reheat it according to the same instructions you'll receive and judge it again for flavour, moisture, texture and structure.
If it isn't still something we'd be proud to serve from our own kitchen, it doesn't make the menu.
That's Reheat Certified™.
Flavour Development
Great reheated food begins long before reheating.
We build flavour into every dish from the start. Seasoning, marinades, herbs, spices and sauces are chosen not simply for how they taste when we cook them, but for how they develop as the dish rests, chills and reheats.
The result should taste complete when it reaches your table. No rescuing it with extra seasoning or sauce.
Flavour has to survive the journey too.
Moisture Retention
Reheating exposes badly designed food.
That is why we cook with the second heating in mind. Proteins, vegetables and sauces are prepared so that moisture is protected through chilling and reheating, rather than lost along the way.
The test is simple. When you serve it at home, it should still be succulent, generous and satisfying.
Because reheated should never mean dried out.
Sturctural Integrity
Good food should still behave like good food.
Tender meat should remain tender. Vegetables should retain their bite. Sauces should stay together. Grains should remain distinct rather than becoming heavy or clumped.
We test the whole dish after chilling and reheating, not just the individual components.
If reheating materially compromises the dish, we don't serve it.
Reheat Simplicity
The hard work should happen in our kitchen, not yours.
Every Family Chef dinner is designed to reheat simply and reliably in a normal home kitchen. We give you clear instructions developed for that particular dish, so you can take dinner from fridge to table with as little intervention as possible.
No cooking. No improvising. No rescuing.
You reheat. You serve. You eat.
